Technology is progressing rapidly, quicker than you'd think hampered only by cost, component availability & consumer demand. What i've listed is already in a planning or experimental stage. Whats is considered standard now I didn't even think would be 10 years ago. Its almost whatever you can think of someone somewhere is designing it.
Releasing a new hardware system in 6 months time & it hasn't even been confirmed yet. No details on price, specs, battery life, storage medium or software not to mention stock availability. June/July launch my arse. 3DS owns anyway.
The reason the Wii sells well & is the current market leader is not one but a combination of factors including price, software, branding (Mario), innovative interface but most of all its accessible to a wide range of people, gamers & non gamers alike.

The Wii has been selling a million+ consoles worldwide for the last 3 weeks & will probably do the same this week. Why bring out a new machine now when its selling those kind of numbers. As for 2011 theres plenty of games they will bring out & ensure they hit the 100 million mark. Zelda SS, Conduit 2, Mario Sports Mix, The Last Story & Pikmin 3.
